Life's Lesson # 2

Don't assume people will stop at a Stop Sign! I saw two accidents today that truly could have been avoided had the person just stopped but that doesn't happen in this city.

Southern I guess!

Why is it that so many people critize what we eat? I had a friend the other day eating Cottage cheese and Peaches and everytime she took a bite people were making comments on how nasty and gross that really was. I of course was doing the same thing right there with them talking about how nasty it was and it made me think. Have I ever tried this before? Why did I think this choice of foods was nasty? I stopped on the way home from work at the store and I bought a tub of cottage cheese and a can of peaches just to ensure that after I tasted it that I would still agree it was gross. To my surpise it was the most delightful snack I have had in years. Why are we always so quick to critize but so hesitant to try the things we say we don't like. Life's lesson today is don't critize things until you have at least tried it! You never know how your taste can change and you will never try anything new if you sit around and say you won't like it!

Remember!

Remember when your parents told you that someday you will pay for your raising. I never thought of that until walking through the mall the other day when I realized that parents all around me were screaming and yelling at their kids and tellig them, "Get over here or your in trouble!" I laughed because I remembered my parents telling me that all the time and how it made me run as fast as I could back to them because I wasn't about to get them pissed at me again. How many things that our parents said to us as children carried on to us in our adulthood? My parents were the best parents that they could be and I am thankful for that but I find my self the older I get saying the same things that they did. I know looking back at my family that my mother and I are a lot alike but still so different. She is a neat freak and I clearly by all the books and papers scattered around my house are not. What did your parents say to you that you find yourself saying now? You are what you wanted to become but how much of that drive and ambition comes from our parents? I still wonder everyday what would have been different had I had different parents!

Don't Feed the Animals!

If the Zoo has paid enough money for a sign that says, "Don't Feed The Animals" I think you should listen! I watched as this lady had her wig riped off her head, LOL. She didn't read the sign and the next thing you know she was head banging the bars as the monkey was ripping at the wig pinned to her head.

OMG

I needed that lesson!

Short Story---Book Idea

I stood outside smoking a cigarette while the world around me exploded. The plane went right over my house and as it crashed down on the block next to me. The blast that came afterwards was much worse. Blowing fire and oil splashed the houses and everything around it causing an inferno only thought to be in the depths of hell. As I lay on the ground I realize that my own house was blazing and everyone inside could be dead. I jump to run not realizing that I was a bloody mess and glass would have to be pulled from me in the hours to come. Running in the house I found that my entire house was a disaster. The wind, fire and oil had made its home inside and my mother and husband were both dead. As I ran through the house the only thing I remembered is trying to be sure I was even in my own house. Nothing looked familiar anymore the black walls with flames bursting out made me wonder if I was even alive. I don’t remember calling for help but I felt arms pull me up from the driveway and I woke up far away from my hopes and dreams and into a hell that only the Devil could hope for. Would I ever be able to rebuild what that flight took away from me? Would I ever understand why my neighborhood was prey to this freak accident? I miss my family.

Dancing in the Shower!

DON'T!

I learned very recently that if you are going to dance in a shower make sure that you have a rubber mat down. I fell to the ground with a force that caused every person in America to shiver. Let's just say that if you could recreate this fall it would have looked like two birds fighting while falling to the ground!
